Description
17 kilometers of adventure await you by canoe, kayak, or paddleboard, at your own pace. This route remains the best way to discover the Vézère River, a designated "Grand Site de France," through unspoiled landscapes and spectacular limestone cliffs. You'll pass by three iconic castles (Losse, Belcayre, and Clérans), cross the medieval village of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, listed among the most beautiful villages in France, and arrive beneath the imposing cliff of La Roque Saint-Christophe, the largest troglodyte site in Europe, with its rock shelters and medieval fort. Allow approximately 4 hours for this route, which has no time limit. No stress, it's the perfect opportunity to discover the Périgord Noir from a different perspective.
